Orange bow was the most "holidayish" we could be that particular day!! We now have some pumpkin/Halloween ware!! This was the little "petting farm" Hayden loved the little goats.

H petting the goat and that is her Rubiness to the right petting the other goat. The girls LOVED feeding them grass!!

Ruby with part of her family and H feeding grass to the goats...which the goats LOVED too!!

Ruby is really not always so serious....she actually smiles and LAUGHS a lot, I just never capture it on film. I think she is just so pretty...smile or no smile. H told me after the pumpkin patch that Ruby is her best friend!!

Getting pictures on this VERY HOT autumn day was not an easy task and I am just documenting how difficult it was. This is Gracie, Hayden, Ruby and Mac. Ruby's brother and sister, and let me tell you that they are the BEST!!!!

Mac pushing Hayden on the tractor.....she is a terrible driver, does not have any sense of steering at all.

This is the one decent picture I got of Hayden, and it was because she was waiting for her kettle corn!!! Check out how DIRTY her shoes are in this pic!!

Just keep scrolling and see that it was IMPOSSIBLE I tell you to get all 3 looking and smiling. Poor Gracie was being so patient. Of course it was Hayden most of the time doing her own thing....nothing new!!!

"hmmmmm what are they doing over there I wonder??"

"mommy I am itching and HOT"

"mommy can I take my dress off now?" NICE!! such a lady we are raising!!! Beats the day she actually did take her clothes off at the library!!

This was seriously the best that we were able to capture. Ruby the movie star and Hayden the "gangsta" which is her way of saying "I am totally over this now"

Girls were not really understanding this concept!!! But it was cute and funny all the same:) Again the sweet and lovely Gracie was up there just trying to get them to stick their heads in the holes:)

The girls sliding...thanks to Gracie!! They must have gone down this slide 30 times!!! We had a blast spending the afternoon with Ruby and her family and we are planning a trip back in the evening so we can go on the hayride!!!

I am adding this VERY casual picture from this morning. Somone emailed me recently that I don't actually know, and asked if Hayden was dressed "beautifully" EVERY SINGLE day and did she actually own any "play clothes" So I thought I would show you all that we do actually have "play clothes" and she is not dress what I would call "beautifully" everyday. I will say that most days she does wear a dress, she does ALWAYS have a bow or a clip in her hair, but a lot of the time her dress is from
Targ@t, or is a hand-me-down. I waited a really long time to be a mommy to this little girl, and yes I shopped A LOT for her while we waited, and I continue to shop for her. I LOVE dressing her everyday, and I think she looks really cute most day's. But sometimes you will find her in her pj's with jelly on the front from breakfast or better yet sometimes in just a lovely polka dot diaper....just like everyone else's kid.

Oh my gracious....your pumpkin farm trip mirrored ours in Oh SO MANY ways!! LOL No one looking in the same direction....cooler, then muggy/hot....grime city and lots of focused time spent on those goats! :)
And you know i LOVED it, just as I know you did too!!!
AND you had me laughing at the "skivvies" cuz DH long ago told me that mine was the only family who used that term! Ha! Now I have proof that we are not the only family with good taste and a sense of humor! Plus both my kids have revealed their undies in public before too....its a right of passage me thinks! ;)
AND something else ( yes, I know...my comments never seem brief...I'm hopeless!) I feel the same way about shopping for my two! I'm not afraid to shop ahead of season and store it, take advantage of discounts, Gym Bucks, whatever!!...I adore a gently used item from a good pal BUT I'm also not gonna split hairs on a few dollars if its something we gotta have for them!! LOL
They are only in a certain stage, size for such a small moment....I think we are allowed to indulge a bit!! ( or a lot too!!!)
I'm an equal opportunity shopper and proud of it!! :)
Plus Hayden is so pretty that I really think a paper bag would look mighty classy and tres chic on her, let alone her normal lovely things!!!
Hugs!!
Ha and to repeat what Lisa said our pumpkin day was very similar...see different states very much the same things.. It was really hot here too on Monday..Hayden and Ruby are sooo cute. But even Hayden's playclothes are pretty..... Miss you guys
Lisa
Your pumpkin patch looked as hot as ours. By the end of the day, Lexie was covered in dirt and her hair (what little she has) was plastered to her head. Loved the one with Hayden's skivvies. And I'm right with you about shopping! I waited a LONG time for Lexie, so I definitely splurge on some cute outfits. Nothing wrong with that!! And Hayden was probably the best dressed toddler at that pumpkin patch and that's the way it should be!!
Now I'm really looking forward to going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow morning! I love all the pictures and the one the the dress over the head cracked me up. Although I don't have a girl, I always tell everyone that if I did, she would be in dresses and bows every single day of her life :) I love all the adorable outfits Hayden wears.
I laughed at you calling Hayden "gangsta" trying to get them all to smile for the pic!! What a fun Pumpkin Day!
LOVE the pic of Hayden in front of the truck, super cute!!!
You go girl!!! Why would someone ask that in the first place? Ugh! I would have Julianna in a dress most days too if she didn't go to daycare (where she get's really messy!). I feel the same way, we waited a long time for these girls, there was a lot of therapy shopping that went on while we waited and I continue to buy cute things for my sweetie :) Love the pics of the kids not looking and of H taking her dress off!!!
boy is she cute! trust me, i know how hard it is to get a picture with three kiddos - nearly impossible really. you have to redefine your idea of a "good" picture.
LOVE that sweet shot of her sitting/leaning on the pumpkin. And yes, it really IS impossible to get a bunch of kids to all look at the camera at the same time, isn't it??? So sweet that Hayden and her friend Ruby are already BFF's! Ruby must be adjusting very well already! Nice to have friends for each other, too.
I am the same as you with the dressing. We have our play clothes, but I bought so much while waiting (plus had 2 showers) so I try to dress her up as much as possible while they still fit! Gotta get wear outta those dresses! And we are big on bows and shoes just like you. So much fun dressing girls!!! Anyway, from one fashionista to another...Hayden is probably one of the best dressed kiddos I have ever seen. We MUST meet one of these days! :-)
