It is all about the cupcakes

We had a lovely birthday celebration(yes another....don't judge) with my roommates from college.  Miss Stacy and Miss Michelle are pretty important people to us, and they no doubt wanted their own celebration with the princess.  We had an awesome lunch where Miss H was conversing with our waiter in spanish...yes Hola as well as every other spanish word she knows.  She opened presents....and they were AWESOME.  Then we walked over to our favorite cupcake store "Dimples" and well all I can say is I think they are the BEST cupcakes in town.  The girls loved them and Hayden scored a free cupcup from the very sweet girl working!!  Miss Stacy captured Miss H's love of Dimples.  I would say this captured her love of today.  She loves those girls just like her mama does.  Thank you Michelle and Stacy for a wonderful time!!

I am very behind on posting and reminding myself about Miss H at age 2, so more for me than anyone so that when I finally get back to scrapbooking(hmmmm when will that be??) I will have some record of this poor child's life.

Hayden Magee I have no idea how you are already 2!!!  On the one hand it seems like just yesterday that we brought you home and you would not sleep unless you were sleeping on top of me and drinking those scalding hot thick bottles, and then on the other hand I have NO recollection of my former life BH(before Hayden)

You are without a doubt a child full of life, vibrant and a personality that is contagious, you have a wicked sense of humor, you think you are absolutely the most hilarious person on the planet.  You smile pretty much most of the time, you ADORE music and want it playing at all times, you are not really into quiet, slow music....mostly loud dance music.  Black eyed peas, Katy Perry, Madonna are some of your favorites.  When you dance....you want EVERYONE to dance including the dogs.  You LOVE animals and pretty much know everyone based on their animals and their animals names(which you NEVER forget) speaking of never forgetting...you NEVER forget anything!!  You have an iron clad memory; music lyrics, names, places, books etc. It is really quite amazing, I no longer have a memory since becoming a mom.

You are 33 1/4 inches tall(33 percentile I think) and weigh a whopping 22.8 lbs(5th percentile) You wear 12-24 months in clothes, pants are hard because your waist is so small(17 inches) you wear size 5 shoes but seem to be moving into a 6. 

You think it is hilarious to yell  for your daddy "DAVID"  and then you get a wicked smile on your face:) You are mostly calling me "mom" now, and while you say it a mere 4000 times a day it makes me a little sad that "mommy" went away so quickly.  Your language is incredible, we have been told over and over again that your language is crazy for your age.  I guess I am use to it as you seem to have always had a thing for language, you started talking really early and it appears you are NEVER going to stop(just like me)  It is seldom that someone can't understand you, you speak so clearly.  Occasionally that is not such a great thing....like last week in gymnastics you broke out into song "my first kiss went a little like this....and twist" yep pretty much wanted to curl up and die, and it couldn't have been mistaken for anything else unfortunately.  Oh well live and learn, no VH1 video music awards(even if it is for 10 min)  there is that memory at work again:)

You still love fruit and vegetables, still don't really care for meat(we get really excited when you eat any meat) You usually wake each morning to ask me for: fruit snack, popcorn, or finally a blue ice pop.  The answer is ALWAYS no, but I guess you think it doesn't hurt to ask.  You tell me you are hungry pretty much all day long, even if you just ate.  You are just like your daddy and think it is natural to graze all day long, and that it is necessary to have something to drink at all times!! 

You love gymnastics and Coach Scott(although you are not keen on heights) you LOVE your friend Ruby like no other friend you have.  You are learning to be a GREAT sharer and will initiate taking turns!!  You say "please and thank you" almost always and without reminders most of the time.  You have learned to put your arm up when you sneeze and say "excuse me" and will say "bless you" if someone else sneezes.  You will shake hands and say "nice to meet you" You know your name and how old you are, as well as most of the alphabet and some days you will count to 10!!  You know your left from your right....mommy doesn't so this has been critical for me to teach you this early(LOL) I am pretty sure you are right handed.  You love to draw and color and would prefer that I let you use markers! You still use the "binka" but you call it the "pink one" and for bed you must have me, your blanket and the pink one and about 15 minutes of rocking.  You still love your dolls(a lot) and you are a very good mama to them.  You love your new trike, and you still love your water table.  You are obsessed with books and going to the library.  Getting your toenails painted(every week and still green almost every week)You still love Shrek, Sesame Street, Barney, but you also really love Stuart Little now too, and a little Glee (music only)thrown in for good measure.

You are such an amazing kid that seems to just love life.  You have the kindest heart that is so full of joy and love.  You bring so much joy to our family that I have no idea what we did or how we managed before you came along.  I have told you over and over again how much you are loved, and how you have simply become mine and your daddy's heart.  It is so fun being your mom, and I totally understand how woman become "crazy" after they become mom's....they are CRAZY in love with their kids and it takes over all rationale thinking.  I am seriously under qualified for this job of being your mom, but please know I do it with all of my heart, and I do it with all of your best intentions!! 

Can't wait to see what the next year holds for us!!

They had a BLAST!!

This is Ellie and her mommy Debbie.  We don't have a picture of Ellie's daddy because he was running around trying to take cute pictures of these two crazy girls!!

Ellie and her family moved to Houston about 6 months ago and they were driving back from a wedding and were passing through Big D, so they were so kind to stop so Hayden and I could go meet them for an ice cream break.  Debbie and I have been FB friends for a long time, and it was GREAT to finally meet in person!!  Ellie is also from Taiwan and is 18 months old and just as pretty as she can be, and has the BEST hair EVER!!!  Hayden and Ellie had a great time playing, and we had a great time visiting.  We hope they will come back to Dallas to visit us and stay for the weekend so we can have more fun with them!!

Thank you Dunn family for the fun afternoon!!  We LOVED it!!

Thank you for the taco shells!!  We will have taco night over the weekend and I am looking forward to the childhood taco shells!! LOL

I am so lucky to be friends with this person and right before vacation while our awesome friends were here visiting we did a little BFF photoshoot.  While we were there we did some product pictures too for this CUTE company.

I am just CRAZY about how they turned out.  Miss H did an amazing job that day and did every single thing she was asked to do.  It is funny that I love the pics where you don't see her face just as much as I love when you do.  The pettiskirt/legwarmer picture is one of my FAVORITES!!

without even seeing Miss H's face you can so see her personality.  We paint her toenails every single week....SHE never forgets that it is time.  She almost always picks green....hers and Shreks favorite color.  She sits perfectly still and knows we can't touch and we must BLOW!!  Then we stick a perfect little flower on that perfect little toe!!

She did so well with these we have been asked to do some more!!  This mama clearly LOVES pictures of our girl, and I think it is great for her to learn to follow directions, some patience and well I think it can't hurt her confidence either.

precious time with Rick and Jay(and Louise and Buddy) and our dear friends.

  We are so blessed to have such a great circle of family and friends

 and such a glorious place to visit where

we get to make such wonderful family memories.

Hayden is celebrating her birthday over 2 days.  This was the first day of her celebration.  Hayden requested Pinkalicious "cupcups" for her birthday. 

We are having a wonderful time at the beach.  Always so good to spend time with the uncles and aunt louise.  Great to see our friends that moved out here.  We have eaten so much amazing food, enjoyed everyone's company and celebrated David and Hayden's birthdays thus far.  We are headed to Sea World tomorrow~ the uncles gift to Hayden for her birthday.  I am pretty sure she is going to just be in HEAVEN!!!  She keeps saying we are going to see the dolphins!!
