Brotherly Love

First, we are off to the city of brotherly love tomorrow to see this person and then onto NY to see this person for a weekend of girl fun!! Hayden and I are so excited to finally meet and I hope that this starts a lifelong friendship for our girls. I truly feel blessed that I had these girls to lean on during our wait. We were all China waiting families and then switched to Taiwan. At one time we were #1, #2, and #3 on the waiting list so we were really a support system for one another while we each waited for our referrals and then the long wait to pick up our girls. But now a year later we are finally all home with our girls and have our weekend together planned. Should be tons of fun, and while we have never met in person....I feel like I have been friends with Heather and Lisa forever!!

Hayden's older sister Taylor(TayTay) made a quick stop in Dallas to see Hayden on her trek back west from West Virginia. She has been there raft guiding and is on her way to Yellowstone now to take a wilderness EMT class. This is her friend Shaun who was riding with her, and whom Hayden seemed completely mesermized by!! Anyway, it was too short of a visit, but it was really nice of Taylor to go about 10 hours out of her way to stop in Dallas to see her favorite little girl!! We love you Taylor and can't wait to see you for Thanksgiving!!

13 years ago

Oct 12, 1996 I married the best man in the whole world!! We eloped to Maui and married with Taylor and Connor as our witness' in Wailai, HI. It was one of the best days of my life. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and 13 years later(together 17) I would do it all over again in a second!!


Fast forward to Oct 11, 1997 we renewed our vows in front of my family who was just a little mad about us eloping. We had been planning a wedding for months(hence the dress) and made us feel so guilty for not allowing anyone else to participate that we had my family pastor(has married every single person in my family) do our vows. We did the dress, the cake, the aisle the flowers the whole nine yards. It reminded David and I why we eloped. While I am glad I had just a smidge of that experience I am mostly glad I have the pictures. But the memories from our little wedding in Maui will be a day I will never forget!!

I think Hayden had a very good nap based on the looks of her hair!!

Nothing really going on around here. We are going to visit our friends Hsin and Paige next week, and we are really excited about our trip. Going to the pumpkin patch this weekend. We are enjoying some fall weather around here. Hayden is doing great. She is talking up a storm, and just is the funniest little person I know!!

These boots are made for walking...

Guess who got new boots? Guess who loves their new boots? Guess who didn't want to take off her boots? Hayden loves her new boots, and has worn them all day, and insisted I help her put them back on even after she had her jam jams on. Hilarious this kid!!

A tisket a tasket

Here is Hayden doing her version of "A tisket a tasket" She has a singing bear and she hits the button about 100 times a day!! She is blowing kisses at one point, and then it just turns into licking her hand(blowing kisses with A LOT of love and salvia) Anyway, it is not great quality it was done on my camera, but thought you might enjoy the cuteness. I think Hayden has the sweetest voice!!

All American Girl lunch

We had one more "girls" celebration for Hayden's birthday at American Girl. So Miss Stacy and Miss Marcy, and bitty baby Lily so kindly joined us for a nice lunch in the bistro.....because sharing is caring:) We had a nice time visiting and the girls were so sweet to bring Hayden some fun gifts. Hayden wore her new dress from Miss Angela, which we got A LOT of compliments on!! The last picture of Hayden is by far not a great picture but I had to show you how cute she looked in her beautiful dress. Thank you Miss Angela for such an awesome gift!! I think we are finished celebrating her birthday now until next year!! Hayden was showered with very generous gifts for her birthday, and I hope she quickly learns how very fortunate and loved she is by so many people!!
